Terms of service
Last updated September 24, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Oyster wallet browser extension, the Oyster data server (the “relay”) and this website (together, “Oyster”), operated by UALIS CORP., British Virgin Islands (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Oyster you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Oyster.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You may not use Oyster where doing so is unlawful, or if you are subject to sanctions.
2. What is self-custody, and what is not
Oyster combines a self-custody wallet with optional services where we hold funds for you. The difference matters.
Your wallet: self-custody
Your seed phrase and private keys are created and encrypted on your device. We never receive them and cannot move your PRL, recover your seed phrase or reset your password. You alone are responsible for keeping your seed phrase and password safe. If you lose both your device and your seed phrase, your PRL is lost and nobody, including us, can restore it.
Trading and buying power: held by us
When you use these features, we hold assets on your behalf:
- USDT you deposit as buying power.
- PRL you buy and choose to keep on the exchange.
- PRL you send to be sold, until the sale settles.
- PRL you have bought that is waiting to be sent to your wallet, and USDT being withdrawn.
These assets are held in exchange and wallet accounts we control, pooled with those of other users and tracked in our ledger. They are not insured or protected by any deposit guarantee scheme. Access to them depends on us, on SafeTrade and on our systems being available. We may pause or hold a transaction for manual review.
3. Trading
- Orders are placed on the SafeTrade exchange (safe.trade) through an account we operate. Prices come from its order book and can move between quote and fill; a market order may fill at a worse price than quoted, up to the worst-price limit you set.
- The minimum order is 2 PRL. Orders can be cancelled until they fill, and cancelling is not instant.
- When you sell PRL from your wallet, the exchange credits it only after 10 Pearl blocks (about 30 minutes). During that time the PRL has left your wallet but has not yet been sold.
- Bought PRL sent to your wallet arrives on the Pearl network a few minutes after the order fills.
4. Buying power (USDT)
- You can deposit USDT from Solana, Arbitrum or BNB Chain. You must first save the address you will send from, and your first deposit must be the exact amount we show you. Deposits from any other address, or of any other asset, may not be credited and may not be recoverable.
- Withdrawals are sent only to the address your USDT came from, on the same chain. The minimum withdrawal is 5 USDT, and the exchange’s network fee (currently 1 USDT) is charged on top.
5. Fees
Oyster charges 1.25% of the PRL in every buy and sell, including automatic sells. The exchange charges its own trading fee, and blockchain networks charge fees you pay when sending. Current fees and minimums are listed in the docs. We may change our fees with notice.
6. Mining and auto-sell
Auto-sell runs only while your wallet is unlocked, because each sale starts with a transaction your wallet must sign. We do not guarantee that any sale happens at a particular time or price.
7. Connecting to websites
Oyster can connect to third-party websites that you approve. We do not control those sites. Review every request before approving it; a signed transaction cannot be undone.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Oyster for anything unlawful, including money laundering, fraud or sanctions evasion, and not to interfere with, overload or reverse-engineer the relay. We may suspend relay access for conduct that breaks these terms or the law, and may be required to freeze funds or share information with authorities.
9. Risks
Digital assets are volatile and can lose all their value. Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Software can have bugs, and networks, exchanges and services can fail. Nothing Oyster shows you, including prices and charts, is financial, investment or tax advice.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Oyster is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by your loss of your seed phrase or password, by third-party services such as SafeTrade or blockchain networks, or by events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from Oyster is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. This limit does not apply to your right to withdraw assets we hold for you.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. You can stop using Oyster at any time. If we discontinue the relay, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to withdraw assets we hold for you.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands, and any dispute will be decided by the courts of the British Virgin Islands.
