Already have a Pearl wallet? If it came from the official Pearl Wallet desktop app or was set up for mining payouts, you can import its Pearl seed phrase into Oyster and see the same addresses and the same PRL. Nothing moves on the chain. You are just opening the same wallet somewhere else.
Why a Pearl seed phrase works across wallets
A seed phrase is a standard (BIP-39) list of words. The wallet turns it into keys and addresses by following a derivation path. The official Pearl Wallet, the open-source desktop app by Pearl Research Labs, uses BIP-86 Taproot addresses on the path m/86'/808276'/0'. Oyster uses the same path, so the same words produce the same prl1p addresses in both.

How to import your Pearl wallet into Oyster
- Install Oyster from the Chrome Web Store, or open the web app on your phone.
- Choose I already have a seed phrase.
- Enter your 12 or 24 words in order. Check the spelling of each one.
- Set a password of at least 8 characters. It protects the wallet on this device only.
- Unlock the wallet and let the first scan finish.
Already using Oyster with another wallet? Tap the wallet name at the top and choose Import a seed phrase to add it alongside your existing one. You can name each wallet and give it a color, which helps keep savings and mining funds apart.
What happens during the restore scan
On restore, Oyster checks the first 250 addresses of the wallet to find your history and balance. That covers the addresses a normal desktop or mining wallet hands out, but it means the first load can take a moment.
- Wait for the scan to finish before deciding anything is missing.
- Use the refresh button to rescan.
- Compare with a block explorer such as explorer.pearlresearch.ai by searching one of your
prl1paddresses.
Importing a mining payout wallet
If your pool pays to an address from a seed phrase wallet, importing that seed brings your mining rewards into Oyster too. A few things are worth knowing:
- Maturing rewards. Mined coins need 100 confirmations before they can be spent. Oyster shows them as maturing until then.
- Miner mode. Turn it on for the imported wallet and Oyster gives you one fixed payout address and a Mining screen with today, the last 7 days and your daily average. If you switch your pool to that address, update the pool’s payout setting.
- Protected coins. Outputs of 0.001 PRL or less may carry PRC-20 inscriptions, so Oyster freezes them to stop you spending one by accident.

What about private keys?
Oyster cannot import a raw private key today. It restores wallets from seed phrases only. If all you have is a single private key or a node wallet file, keep that wallet running and send the PRL from it to a new Oyster address instead. That is a normal on-chain payment with a small network fee.
After you import
- Your seed phrase now lives in more than one place if the desktop app still has it. Decide which wallet you will use and keep both devices secure.
- Your paper backup still works for both. There is nothing new to write down.

Will my Pearl Wallet desktop addresses be the same in Oyster?
Yes. Oyster uses the same BIP-39 seed phrases and BIP-86 Taproot derivation (m/86'/808276'/0') as the official Pearl Wallet desktop app, so the same seed produces the same prl1p addresses and the same balance.
Can I import a Pearl private key instead of a seed phrase?
Not in Oyster today. It imports 12 or 24 word seed phrases only. If you only have a raw private key, keep using the wallet that holds it, or send the PRL from there to a new Oyster address.
